Business Visa

Documents Required

Travel Document

• A valid passport issued within the last 10 years with at least two blank pages.
• Must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date from the Schengen area.
• Copies of previous passports containing valid or expired Schengen visas (if applicable).

Schengen Visa Application Form

• Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
• Confirmation of online visa registration at the Icelandic visa portal.

Passport Photograph

• One recent passport-size photograph (max. 6 months old).
• White background, 3.5 x 4.5 cm in size.

UK Residency

• Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.

Proof of Relationship with an EU/EEA/Swiss National

• Marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate (original to be seen).
• Birth certificate (for children under 21) proving the relationship.
• If documents are not in English, a certified translation from a UK-registered translator is required.

EU/EEA/Swiss National’s Identification

• A copy of the passport or ID card of the EU, EEA, or Swiss national.

Proof of Joint Travel

• Confirmed return travel tickets listing both the applicant’s and the EU/EEA/Swiss national family member’s names.

Proof of Accommodation

• Confirmed hotel booking, rental agreement, or official accommodation arrangement.
• If staying with family or friends, a formal invitation letter from the host in Iceland.

Important Notes:

• Ensure all documents are complete and accurate to avoid processing delays.
• The Embassy may request additional documents or call for an interview.
• Processing delays are possible during peak seasons, so early application is recommended.

Photo Specifications

Applicants must submit one recent colour photograph (not older than 6 months) that meets the following requirements:

• Background: Taken against a plain, light-coloured background (white or off-white) to ensure facial features are clearly distinguishable and contrast against the background.
• Clarity & Focus: The photo must be of high quality, clear, and in sharp focus.
• Full Face Visible:
  • The applicant must have a neutral expression (non-smiling).
  • No sunglasses, hats, caps, or head coverings, unless worn for religious or cultural reasons.
• Printing Requirements:
  • Printed on standard photographic paper (camera print).
  • Must be glued to the visa application form (not stapled).
• Compliance Check:
  • If the submitted photograph does not meet the above requirements, the application will be considered incomplete.
  • The applicant may be required to take new photographs at a photo booth in the visa application centre.
